Affiliate Disclosure
What this disclosure covers
1.1This disclosure is issued by STARECOM ("we", "us"), the operator of starecom.net and the provider of the services described on it.
1.2It covers two things: (a) whether anything on this website earns us a commission when you click or buy, and (b) how affiliate, referral and reseller programmes that we design, build or operate for clients are disclosed to the people who see them.
1.3We publish it because affiliate relationships that are not disclosed mislead the reader, breach the rules of most advertising regulators and every major platform, and are a common reason a programme is shut down. Disclosure is part of the work, not an afterthought.
Links on this website
2.1At the date of this document, no link on starecom.net earns the operator a commission, referral fee or other payment. Links to third-party tools, platforms and services are provided because they are relevant, and we receive nothing when you follow them.
2.2If that changes, this clause will be updated first, and any affiliate link will be identified next to the link itself with a clear label such as "affiliate link" — not only here.
2.3We do not accept payment, free products or other consideration in exchange for a mention, a recommendation or a placement on this site. Where a client agrees to be named in a case study, that is stated on the case study and no payment is involved in either direction.
Independence of advice
3.1Our recommendations about platforms, networks, carriers, brokers, software and partners are made on the merits of your engagement. We take no rebate, commission, referral fee or other payment from any vendor we recommend or integrate, and we tell you in writing if a vendor offers one so that you can decide whether it should flow to you.
3.2Third-party costs — platform subscriptions, network fees, software licences, media — are paid by you directly to those providers on your own billing, and are never marked up by us. See the Payment & Billing Disclosures.
Programmes we build and operate for clients
4.1Where we design, build or operate an affiliate, referral or reseller programme on a client's behalf, the following are part of the programme terms from day one and are not negotiable:
- Affiliates must disclose. Every affiliate is contractually required to disclose the commercial relationship clearly and conspicuously wherever they promote the client's offer, in a form that meets the rules of the market and platform concerned (for example FTC endorsement guidance, the UK CAP Code and ASA guidance, and the platform's own branded-content rules).
- No income claims, no fabricated proof. Affiliates may not make earnings claims, use fabricated reviews, testimonials or scarcity, or misrepresent the product, its price or its terms.
- What is paid for is defined in writing. The programme terms state exactly which event earns a commission, how duplicates, refunds, chargebacks and fraud are treated, and when payouts are made.
- Reconciled before scaled. Network-reported conversions are reconciled against the client's own orders and settled payments weekly. Payouts are approved by a named person at the client after review, never released automatically by a system.
- Compliance is monitored and enforced. Affiliates who breach disclosure or claims rules are warned, held and, on repeat, removed with unpaid commission forfeited, as the programme terms set out.
4.2The client is the merchant and programme owner. STARECOM acts on the client's instructions and does not itself earn commission on the client's sales.
STARECOM does not run a public affiliate programme
5.1At the date of this document, STARECOM does not operate an affiliate, referral or reseller programme for its own services, and pays no commission to anyone for introducing a client. Anyone claiming to be a STARECOM affiliate, or offering STARECOM services for a commission, is not acting on our behalf. If that changes, this document will say so, together with the programme's terms.
